It was a wild night in Bardstown Friday into Saturday, as there were two police pursuits ending in collisions.
One pursuit involved a 15-year-old boy, who was driving a Toyota passenger car and crashed into two police cruisers. The incident began at 12:50 a.m. Saturday when the juvenile was stopped for a traffic offense near Granite Drive at Ky. 245. The juvenile led police on a chase into town and ran red lights at Ky. 245 and North Third Street.
The juvenile was eventually stopped at the intersection of Fifth Street and West Broadway, after colliding with the cruisers.
The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, disregarding a traffic light, reckless driving and license plate not illuminated.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Bardstown Police at 348-6811.
The other pursuit, involving a white SUV, occurred at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
It ended on Boston Road just before the bridge near the old Dump Hill. The driver of the SUV lost control and overturned in a ditch.
